When It All Started
I was pregnant with his little sister when we found out. We all pulled together- his father left him and us with no health insurance right after diagnoses. I did not handle it very well either and was not sure if a second child was a good idea. Zachery had emergency surgery after finding out about his tumor. We thought it was an ear infection that was bleeding. The doctor's told use that he had 72 hours to live. He had surgery at 7 months old, PCV chemotherapy, and then radiation. All treatment ended November 2001.
