ALL Ph+ Leukemia

William and Patricia Writes:
Hello everyone,

We saw your info on the ACOR website and wanted to contact you about the treatment you used and to see how your child is doing. Our daughter, Raine, age 8 at the time, was diagnosed in May 2005 with ALL Ph+ and underwent a matched sibling BMT in early October 2005. We used an experimental drug Gleevac after her initial diagnosis.

Raine has been in remission since 1 week after her initial diagnosis and is doing terrific, living the life of a normal 10 year old.

Her initial treatment was at AI Dupont Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware and we did her transplant at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

We would be very interested in getting in touch with other parents of children with this affliction to compare notes, treatment, etc.

Help with Cancer Project

Jake Wheat Writes:
Hello everyone,

We need to get the word out about a very special event that will occur in Bardstown, Kentucky on October 28th 2007.

Steven Mackin passed away last year from Ewing's Sarcoma on October 28th, 2006 @ 2:00 pm est. We are going to be doing a balloon launch in Bardstown at the cemetery in his honor, and to celebrate him.

On the same day, the CD "Stomp Out Cancer" will also be released. We would like ANYONE with media contacts, friends in the press, or for you to please post and spread the word about this event - and ask them to please contact me at: 1-502-489-1501. Once you contact me, I will provide the contact information for Steven's family who is putting together the balloon launch.

This is so important, and I hope someone will take the time to call us!

We would like people to know more about Steven and his battle with Ewing's Sarcoma, and also to learn how people can work to make a difference helping others who have Ewing's Sarcoma today.

I know there are thousands of emails each day..... and most of them are important to the writer in many ways. This is very important to me, Steven's family, and to the people who are suffering from Ewing's Sarcoma.

Please take the time to spread this message, and to notify any of your friends in the press to please help us get the message out. For now, not many are listening - and we really think that children and teenagers with Cancer deserve to be heard.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Jake A. Wheat
